The BeeTagg Reader

What exactly is the BeeTagg Reader?

The BeeTagg Reader transforms your cell phone into an ultimate scanner. With this reader, your cell phone will be able to scan every BeeTagg and with that access and process various multimedia contents or transactions (such as mobile payment).
The BeeTagg Reader works with eight different cell phone platforms:
  • Symbian 2nd Edition
  • Symbian 3rd Edition
  • Windows Mobile 5.0
  • Windows Mobile 6.0
  • Java
  • Symbian UIQ 2
  • Symbian UIQ 3
  • Palm
For these platforms, the Reader was accredited from official certification authorities.

Which Cellphone is supported?

The BeeTagg Reader supports several hundred end-devices. Thereof we distinguish:

  1. BeeTagg Reader Realtime
  2. BeeTagg Reader Snapshot
  3. BeeTagg Reader Lite
The Realtime version primarily works with so called Smartphones (Symbian, Windows Mobile). The BeeTagg is scanned in real time speed and you’ll get a feedback as soon as a BeeTagg has been identified.
How Realtime Version works

The Snapshot version works with many Java cell phones. Unlike the Realtime version, you will not receive an immediate feedback. You first have to focus the BeeTagg with the Viewer and then activate the scanning. After few milliseconds you’ll receive the note that the BeeTagg has been identified. However, this version does not support all cell phones equipped with a camera. It is required that the manufacturer permits access to the camera’s features.
How Snapshot Version works

The Lite version works on most of the mobile phones no matter if it has a camera or not. Although you cannot scan BeeTaggs, you still have access to the BeeTagg System and to the applications linked to it.
How Lite Version works

The probability that the Reader works on your cell phone with either version is therefore very high.
